Atlanta Autism Center (AAC) is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to lead and optimize our complete revenue cycle operations across Clinical, Diagnostics, ABA, Speech, and Occupational Therapy services.

This high-impact leadership role oversees the revenue cycle from patient intake and insurance verification through authorizations, claims, payment posting, denials, accounts receivable, and collections. The Director will partner with Clinical Operations, Intake, Scheduling, Finance, and Executive Leadership to improve cash flow, maximize reimbursement, strengthen payer relationships, and support AAC's continued growth.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the organization's overall revenue cycle strategy, performance, and financial outcomes
  • Oversee insurance verification, authorizations, claims, denials, AR, and collections
  • Develop strategies to improve cash flow, clean claim rates, collections, and AR performance
  • Build and maintain strong payer relationships and support contract and reimbursement strategies
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, payer requirements, and AAC policies
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing RCM team
  • Improve workflows, leverage technology, and use data to drive operational performance
  • Identify revenue opportunities and resolve barriers to reimbursement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure revenue cycle processes support clinical operations and patient care

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive healthcare revenue cycle management experience.
  • 10+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing revenue cycle or billing teams.
  • Experience with healthcare insurance billing, claims processing, denials, appeals, and accounts receivable.
  • Experience with behavioral health, ABA, therapy, or other healthcare services strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance and government payer processes.
  • Experience with healthcare billing and practice management systems.
  • Strong analytical, financial, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across departments and organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications :


  • Experience managing revenue cycle operations for a multi-location healthcare organization.
  • Experience with ABA billing and payer requirements.
  • Knowledge of CPT and HCPCS codes commonly used in ABA and behavioral health services.
  • Experience with Medicaid and commercial insurance programs.
  • Experience with electronic claims clearinghouses and payer portals.
  • Experience with other healthcare administrative and financial systems, as applicable.
  • Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR), or similar certification is a plus.
