Senior Web Developer (Mendix + React)

Location: Remote (Preferred: Vancouver, WA / Portland, OR area for Hybrid option)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Web Developer with strong expertise in both Mendix and React to join our growing development team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade web applications while leveraging low-code and modern front-end technologies to deliver scalable business solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience building responsive web applications, integrating enterprise systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications using Mendix and React.
  • Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable front-end components using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Develop and enhance applications using the Mendix low-code platform.
  • Integrate applications with REST APIs, third-party systems, databases, and cloud services.
  • Participate in solution architecture, technical design, code reviews, and best-practice implementation.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, UX designers, and other developers to deliver business solutions.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and user experience.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and support documentation.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional web application development experience.
  • Hands-on experience developing applications using Mendix.
  • Strong experience with React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Git, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
