Job description

As part of the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, we have a vision to provide business applications, leveraging Amazon's unique experience and expertise, that are used by millions of companies worldwide to manage day-to-day operations. We will accomplish this by accelerating our customers' businesses through delivery of intuitive and differentiated technology solutions that solve enduring business challenges. We blend vision with curiosity and Amazon's real-world experience to build opinionated, turnkey solutions.

Where customers prefer to buy over build, we become their trusted partner with solutions that are no-brainers to buy and easy to use.
On Agentic WorkSpaces, our vision is to enable AI agents to work the way humans do -- with access to real applications, real interfaces, and real computing environments. For enterprises to trust autonomous agents with their essential business applications, they need to see what agents did, control what agents can do, and prove both to auditors. Our team builds the systems that make this possible

We record every agent desktop action as a reviewable visual audit trail, enforce policy on every tool call before it executes, pause agents for human approval on sensitive actions, and package the evidence for compliance frameworks.
We're looking for a Front-End Engineer to own the customer-facing surface of this system: a governance console where security admins watch live agent sessions, replay recorded ones with synchronized video and transcripts, approve or deny paused agent actions, author policies without writing code, and export compliance evidence in one click. This is a greenfield console build, not a maintenance role. You'll own the user experience as well as the code - shaping information architecture, designing workflows, and deciding how complex governance concepts become clear interfaces

The person using your UI is deciding whether an AI agent's action is safe to allow, and clarity has real consequences. If you want to define how humans supervise AI agents, and own a product surface from first commit, this team is for you.
Key job responsibilities
* Design and build the governance console end-to-end: user experience, architecture, components, state management, and deployment
* Build interfaces for real-time session monitoring, video replay with searchable transcripts, and human-in-the-loop approval flows
* Own the user experience: turn complex governance workflows (compliance review, approval decisions, policy authoring) into interfaces that non-technical users trust
* Create a visual policy builder that lets non-technical compliance officers author enforcement rules
* Own front-end quality: performance, accessibility, cross-browser support, and automated testing
* Partner with back-end engineers on API contracts, and with product and design on customer workflows
* Contribute to operational excellence: oncall, runbooks, alarms, and incident response
A day in the life
Your mornings are usually free for focus work - writing code, reviewing CRs, and working through whatever problem you've picked up. Around 11 you'll have standup, then grab lunch with the team (if you like) before the afternoon opens up for integration work, cross-team syncs, or design reviews

The team is small, so you'll know what everyone is working on, and when something breaks, the whole team rallies. Our pipelines are full CD, our ticket queue is small, and when something pages us we fix the root cause - not just the symptom. We encourage responsible AI usage across our development workflow - it's one way our small team moves fast.

The problems are interesting and the pace is high, but we believe we can move fast, do exceptional work, and have a full life outside of it.
We're a small team building two greenfield projects within Agentic WorkSpaces. We're moving fast enough that our team name is still taking shape - but our engineering culture is well established.
