Job description

Position Summary

This position provides professional chemistry support for operational, environmental, and analytical programs within assigned facilities or functional areas. The position will be on site in Brush, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support related to chemistry programs, operational processes, or compliance activities.
  • Monitor and review system performance, identify potential issues, and support corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address operational, regulatory, or project-related needs.
  • Support data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform decision-making.
  • Participate in activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support plant objectives.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed within active power generation facilities, including boiler units, cooling water systems, treatment buildings, and outlying plant structures. The environment includes elevated noise levels from large-scale operating equipment such as pumps, fans, compressors, and turbines, with designated areas requiring hearing protection.
  • Responsibilities involve working in proximity to industrial machinery, chemical feed systems, and pressurized equipment across both indoor plant spaces and outdoor process areas subject to temperature extremes and weather conditions. Duties may include navigating stairs, platforms, and remote or confined areas such as outbuildings, water treatment systems, and chemical storage locations.
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when performing work in this industrial environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications: 3 years of relevant industrial experience (e.g. power generation, water/wastewater treatment, or oil & gas) or a degree in chemistry or chemical engineering.
