About the job:
  • We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team and assist with the technical support, installation and repairs / technical service of CNC Machine Tools for our customers.
  • These machines include 2D and 3D Lasers, Press Brakes, Automatic Laser Welders, Punches, 3D Printers, Plasma Cutters, Plate Rolls, Automation/Material Handling systems and similar equipment.
  • After a thorough technical onboarding and training program, you will:
    • Support the overall technical needs of our customers and sales team.
    • Provide customers with the details on facility requirements needed to successfully install machines they purchase and assist in the preparation of the installation site.
    • Be on-site for machine deliveries to ensure equipment condition and proper placement.
    • Install machines and accessories at customer sites, including all necessary assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating, wiring, and commissioning of machines and accessories.
    • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, software and other equipment.
    • Provide training to customers on functions and proper use of equipment and accessories.
    • Visit existing customers to ensure they are satisfied with machine tools after installation.

Job Requirements:
  • You are located in/around Houston, TX. Although this is technically a remote position, you must live one of these areas as that is the primary territory you will be working in.
  • You have experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, controls and/or network systems.
  • You are able to precisely read and follow blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • You maintain a positive, professional attitude along with the ability to communicate in a professional manner with both technical and non-technical individuals. You will occasionally interface with clients at the management level, and our manufacturers are global suppliers; therefore, a high level of professionalism is expected.
  • Are a highly motivated, self-starter that takes initiative and works well independently and with others.
  • Up to 90% travel may be required for this position.
