Job Description
UW Medical Center-Northwest) Behavioral Health - (LTCC) Long Term Civil Commitment has an outstanding opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) position.
Must have at least one year of CNA Psych experience in Psych Facility or hospital or unit.
SCHEDULE:
90% FTE - 36 hours per week
Night shift
No specific schedule
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating
  • Maintain a safe environment of care
  • Patient transportation
  • Prepare patients for surgery
  • Perform non-invasive lab procedures
  • Transport equipment and supplies
  • Assist with treatments
  • Perform various clerical tasks
  • Take vital signs

REQUIREMENTS
  • Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State (please indicate your NA-C credential number on your resume)
  • High School graduation and six months experience involving direct patient care or customer service in a health care setting;

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card by start date
