What is the opportunity?
As a Security Engineer you will be responsible for cloud security architecture and hands-on engineering, supporting SaaS platforms, containerized workloads, and AI-enabled services. The ideal candidate has experience working in a SaaS environment, can independently design and implement security controls, and partners closely with engineering teams to embed security early in system and AI design. Here is a breakdown:
  • Cloud, Container & SaaS Security: Design and implement security controls across cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), SaaS services, containerized workloads, and Kubernetes environments, including identity, networking, and workload protection.
  • Shift-Left & DevSecOps Collaboration: Partner with the Product Security team to embed security earlier in the development lifecycle by contributing to secure coding standards, CI/CD pipeline security gates, and developer security enablement.
  • Data Security: Support data security initiatives across SaaS and AI-enabled services, including data classification, access controls, and data residency considerations for multi-tenant and regulated environments.
  • Container & Kubernetes Security: Secure containerized and Kubernetes environments, including pod security, network policies, image scanning, and runtime protection.
  • AI Security: Apply AI security frameworks (e.g., OWASP LLM Top 10, MITRE ATLAS) to threat assessments and security architecture reviews for AI-enabled services.
  • Guardrails & Standards: Define and maintain security standards, reference architectures, and design patterns used by engineering teams.
  • Zero Trust: Apply Zero Trust principles across identity, network segmentation, and workload access in cloud and SaaS environments.

What will you bring to Omnissa?
  • 8+ years of experience in security, cloud, or platform engineering.
  • Strong cloud architecture and hands-on engineering experience (AWS and/or Azure).
  • Prior experience working at a SaaS company supporting production, multi-tenant services.
  • Experience securing containerized and Kubernetes environments.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security, identity, workload protection, and data security concepts.
  • Experience with Wiz strongly preferred; experience with other Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM/CNAPP) tools (e.g., Prisma Cloud, Lacework, Orca, Defender for Cloud) is a plus.
  • Ability to independently own security design and implementation for complex systems.
  • Experience securing AI platforms or AI-enabled services.
  • Familiarity with AI security frameworks such as OWASP LLM Top 10 and/or MITRE ATLAS.
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and security automation.
  • Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Relevant security or cloud certifications.
