Cloud Engineer
About the Role
We are working with a client seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This is a fully remote position open to candidates across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools
- Implement cloud security best practices and compliance controls
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, cost, and reliability
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to support cloud-native applications
- Optimize cloud spend and resource utilization
- Document cloud architecture, configurations, and runbooks
- Support migration of on-premises workloads to the cloud
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a cloud engineering or DevOps role
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform — Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Cloud certifications — AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or GCP equivalent
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or CloudWatch
- Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with microservices and serverless architectures
Compensation
$100,000 — $140,000 base salary depending on experience. Full benefits package available.
