About Bidbus

Bidbus is reinventing how people sell their cars.

With over $18M raised, Bidbus is well-capitalized and scaling rapidly across multiple markets. As we expand nationally, we're building a brand that people genuinely enjoy talking about—not just another automotive marketplace.

The Role

We're looking for a high-velocity, performance-minded video editor to create and repurpose paid-social content for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.

You'll turn UGC, creator footage, customer testimonials, dealership content, interviews, organic social videos, and existing assets into high-performing direct-response ads.

This role is built for an editor who understands that one strong source asset can become dozens of effective creative variations. You'll combine strong editing craft with speed, experimentation, and performance-driven iteration.

What You'll Do
  • Produce approximately 8–12 paid-social video cuts each week.

  • Turn creative briefs into first drafts within 48 hours.

  • Repurpose creator, UGC, organic, testimonial, and long-form footage into multiple paid-social assets.

  • Turn one source video into new hooks, openings, formats, lengths, angles, and calls to action.

  • Edit direct-response ads for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other paid channels.

  • Create platform-specific versions, including vertical, square, and horizontal formats.

  • Edit UGC, customer stories, dealership footage, interviews, founder-led content, and automotive videos.

  • Improve retention through pacing, captions, pattern interrupts, sound design, motion graphics, and visual storytelling.

  • Collaborate with creative strategy and performance marketing to iterate based on campaign results.

  • Identify reusable moments and winning elements across the Bidbus content library.

  • Maintain an organized, searchable asset library and clean project files.

  • Complete strong self-QA across audio, color, captions, formatting, branding, and platform safe zones.

What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience editing short-form, paid-social, direct-response, or performance marketing videos.

  • Experience editing for a DTC, consumer technology, marketplace, agency, or performance-driven brand.

  • A strong portfolio that includes paid-social ads, UGC edits, repurposed content, and creative variations.

  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro

  • Working knowledge of After Effects, motion graphics, captions, sound design, and visual effects.

  • Strong understanding of hooks, retention, pacing, offers, calls to action, and conversion-focused storytelling.

  • Ability to find multiple creative opportunities within a single piece of source footage.

  • Able to follow a brief closely while using strong editorial judgment.

  • Comfortable working independently, receiving direct feedback, and moving quickly through revisions.

Bonus Points

  • Experience editing automotive, marketplace, local-service, or lead-generation advertising.

  • Familiarity with Meta and TikTok creative-performance metrics.

  • Experience using AI tools for editing, voiceover, captioning, asset generation, or workflow automation.

  • Experience repurposing podcasts, interviews, creator content, or long-form videos into short-form paid ads.

  • Examples of ads that scaled meaningfully or improved through creative iteration.

What Success Looks Like
  • Consistently shipping 8–12 strong paid-social cuts each week.

  • Delivering most first drafts within 48 hours.

  • Turning each strong source asset into multiple useful variations.

  • Increasing the percentage of existing content successfully reused across paid channels.

  • Maintaining a high first-review approval rate.

  • Helping the team identify and scale repeatable creative winners.

  • Increasing creative-testing velocity without sacrificing quality.

Compensation Range: $75K - $115K
