• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans that prioritize both pre-crisis and crisis interventions.
• Deliver timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring clarity and precision in all records.
• Employ various evidence-based screening tools and methodologies as dictated by clinical protocols and team directives.
• Collaborate intimately with interdisciplinary teams to design and execute positive behavior support plans that encourage constructive outcomes.
• Engage actively in the clinic’s licensing and accreditation initiatives, guaranteeing that all practices align with state and national standards.
• Facilitate communication between clients and relevant service systems, state agencies, and community partners to foster a supportive network.
• Maintain proactive communication channels to fulfill contract obligations and support the mission of mental health advocacy.
• Establish strategic relationships with various stakeholders, including local and federal agencies, to secure potential partnerships and funding opportunities.
• Invest in ongoing personal and professional development by attending conferences, conducting workshops, and representing the clinic in various committees.
• Advocate and integrate the organization’s mission, values, and principles within all aspects of your work.
• Undertake any additional responsibilities as directed by the Clinic Director that align with your expertise and contribute to the overall goals of the organization.

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work closely with a diverse range of patients, including individuals coping with emotional distress, substance use challenges, developmental disabilities, and those recovering from brain injuries. This role is pivotal in extending essential mental health support while promoting individual strengths and resilience through customized therapeutic approaches.

• A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is mandatory.
• An Independent LMHC License is required to practice in Kansas.

• Experience in community mental health or a similar setting is favored.
