Job description

Focuses on the implementation of moderate complexity tools and processes, and the support and maintenance of clinical and ancillary systems. Leads and coordinates medium scale initiatives and projects. Works under general supervision to effectively scope, plan for, and deliver on customer requests. Takes ownership medium complexity issues. Highly responsive to customers and shows an aptitude for the development and documentation of customer requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in information services, Business, Healthcare or related field or graduate of an accredited professional Nursing program, eligible for RN licensure required.
  • Three or more years of experience in Nursing, Information Services, Business Services, Healthcare, or related field required.
  • Ten or more years of experience in Nursing, Information Services, Business Services, Healthcare, or related field considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Previous experience with Cerner Millennium Applications or Soarian Financials highly desirable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Should be able to push/pull, lift/move 15 lb., be able to perform moderately difficult manual manipulations such as using a keyboard, writing, and filing for extended periods of time, must be able to perform tasks which require hand-eye coordination such as data entry, typing and using photo copiers. Mobility requirements may include the ability to be stationary at a workstation for a prolonged period time in addition to being able to squat or be mobile for a reasonable length of time and distance. Communication requirements include the ability to comprehend the spoken English language in addition to being able to communicate and read the English language.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
  • Establishes and maintains an appropriate support presence with all key customers.
  • Participates in, supports, and facilitates Operation led solution development.
  • Develops project plans for mid-scale projects that lead to efficient and consistently successful product delivery.
  • Presents effective executive summaries for mid complexity decision points showing options with cost/benefits defined.
  • Designs, builds, and tests end users' tools, as appropriate, using best practice principles.
  • Develops depth of knowledge in an application and adds breadth of knowledge across the EHR and ancillary applications.
  • Defines mid-complexity customer goals and effectively manages customer expectations for delivery.
  • Defines customer requirements for changes that require back-end work or a high level of standardization and communicates to an assigned Application Analyst.
  • Facilitates collaborative decision-making, as appropriate.

Salary Range: $ 38.59-$57.89 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
