Contracts Analyst
Location: Remote Reports to: General Counsel

The Contracts Analyst ensures that customer contract workflows move efficiently from request to execution while balancing speed, accuracy, and legal risk. This role serves as the operational bridge between Sales, Customer Success, and Legal, enabling the business to close deals effectively without compromising contractual integrity.
What Success Looks Like (Outcomes & Performance Expectations)
Within this role, you will be expected to consistently deliver the following outcomes:
1. Efficient Contract Execution
  • Contract requests are processed efficiently and accurately, meeting SLAs and enabling Sales and Customer Success to move deals forward without friction.
  • Contracts move smoothly from intake to execution through strong cross-functional coordination.
2. Risk Identification & Judgment
  • Contract changes are reviewed with precision, identifying key legal, business, and operational risks.
  • Issues are appropriately prioritized and escalated, demonstrating sound judgment within defined playbooks.
3. Clear Communication & Legal Enablement
  • Legal counsel receives concise, decision-ready summaries of key issues and deviations.
  • Business stakeholders receive clear, actionable guidance that reduces back-and-forth and accelerates decisions.
4. Drafting & Redlining Excellence
  • Contracts are revised with high technical accuracy in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Redlines and documents are clean, professional, and execution-ready with minimal rework.
5. Operational Scale & Continuous Improvement
  • High-volume workflows are managed with strong organization, accuracy, and version control.
  • Recurring issues are identified and translated into scalable improvements (playbooks, templates, standard responses).
6. Effective Use of Tools & Technology
  • Approved AI and contract tools are used to accelerate review, summarization, and drafting while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Contract data, status, and approvals are consistently tracked and up to date.

Day-One Performance Expectations
You will be expected to demonstrate the following immediately:
  • Accurately identify key issues in a contract modification request.
  • Produce clear, concise summaries for legal review.
  • Apply contract playbooks and fallback language correctly.
  • Execute advanced redlining and document revisions in Word and Adobe.
  • Use AI tools responsibly to analyze contracts and support drafting.
Experience & Background
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required.
  • 7+ years of experience in contract review, negotiation support, or contract operations.
  • Proven success in high-volume, fast-paced contract environments.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with business teams and legal counsel.
Preferred Experience
  • B2G and/or SaaS contracting environments.
  • Public sector or government contracting exposure.
  • Familiarity with procurement, data security, and SaaS subscription structures.
  • Experience with contract playbooks, CLM systems, or workflow tools.
  • Exposure to enterprise AI or knowledge-based contract review systems.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this role begins at $80,000 annually based on experience plus annual bonus based on performance.
