Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine mental health needs, using tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to create a comprehensive, individualized plan of care that reflects cultural competence and adapts to diverse patient demographics.
  • Deliver effective outpatient therapy to individuals and families coping with the complexities of cancer diagnoses, incorporating evidence-based practices to foster healthy coping mechanisms and emotional resilience.
  • Regularly evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies and interventions to ensure alignment with mental health diagnoses and patient goals.
  • Document treatment records and maintain clinical information promptly and accurately using state-of-the-art electronic health record systems, adhering to regulatory standards and departmental policies.
  • Develop collaborative treatment plans in partnership with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams, advocating for the patient’s needs and preferences throughout the therapeutic process.

Qualifications
