Position Overview

The Emory Mental Health and Psychological Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our committed team in a fully remote capacity. This full-time role involves providing essential outpatient therapy to individuals and families affected by cancer diagnoses. You will play a vital role within a community health clinic, delivering tailored support to help patients navigate the challenges surrounding their mental health and emotional well-being.

About the Organization

At Emory Mental Health and Psychological Center, we are passionately driven to revolutionize health care by becoming proactive partners in mental wellness. Our environment is founded on collaboration, innovation, and a shared vision of enhanced patient care. We are deeply committed to fostering compassion, excellence, leadership, and agility among our team members. We take pride in offering a workplace where professional growth is encouraged and where work-life balance is prioritized, fulfilling our mission of enriching the lives of our patients and their families.

Work Environment

As a part of our community health clinic, your work setting will be remote, offering you the flexibility to interact with patients from the comfort of your home or chosen office space. Daily operations will involve seamless communication via electronic health records systems, video conferencing tools, and teletherapy platforms. Despite the remote nature of the job, you will encounter a climate-controlled office setting each day, contributing to an engaging and collaborative workflow with colleagues across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments utilizing appropriate evaluative tools, including the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), to effectively diagnose and understand the patient's mental health status.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient, ensuring consideration for cultural diversity and specific health requirements.
  • Maintain an organized approach to patient records, ensuring timely documentation of treatment notes and progress reports through our electronic health system.
  • Collaborate actively with patients and their support systems to establish comprehensive care plans, monitoring progress and adjusting therapeutic interventions as needed.
  • Provide education and resources to patients and their families related to mental health, helping them understand the impact of diagnosis and treatment options available.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate referrals and coordinate care while building effective relationships with other health care providers and agencies.
  • Mentor and support interns and less experienced social workers, fostering a learning culture within the department, and assisting with clinical supervision when required.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary clientele will consist of individuals and families dealing with the psychological aspects of cancer diagnoses. You will focus on addressing a range of mental health issues that accompany such serious health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and adjusting to life-changing circumstances. Your empathetic approach and clinical expertise will be integral to fostering resilience and hope in the lives of those you serve.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) designation within the state of Florida.
  • Proven experience working in a clinical setting, with a strong understanding of mental health diagnoses and therapeutic practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience specifically working with oncology patients or within a similar health care environment.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices as well as holistic and integrative treatment approaches.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to our salary structure, we provide a robust benefits package that includes a signing bonus, flexible working arrangements, and comprehensive health coverage. Enjoy unlimited earning potential due to our generous compensation structure and comprehensive retirement savings options, including a 401(k) plan with employer matching.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Emory Mental Health and Psychological Center, we are invested in your professional development. Through continued education and training opportunities, team collaboration, and mentorship programs, you will have the tools to further enhance your clinical skills and advance your career. As our organization continues to innovate in patient care, you will be at the forefront of positive change in mental health services.

Why Join Our Team

This is an exciting opportunity for LCSWs looking to make meaningful impacts in the lives of patients dealing with cancer-related challenges. You will be part of an organization that truly values its employees, champions innovative mental health care, and supports professional and personal well-being. Join us in our mission to deliver exemplary mental health services in our community.
