Position Overview

Raven Mental and Counseling Center is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This role will focus on delivering high-quality therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families, with an emphasis on divorce and relationship counseling. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your responsibilities will encompass the following:

  • Conduct thorough client assessments to identify the intensity and duration of symptoms affecting mood disorders, relationships, and familial interactions.
  • Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that address their specific needs and aspirations, leveraging evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Empower clients and their families through education surrounding mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care practices.
  • Continuously monitor client progress, documenting changes in behavior and emotional health, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Engage in collaborative care by coordinating with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment strategies.
  • Stay current with the latest research in mental health to enhance treatment methods and personal expertise.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities to stay engaged and informed in the mental health field.
  • Advocate for clients and their families, addressing mental health stigma and ensuring they receive the best possible care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with clients navigating complex emotional landscapes, particularly those facing relational challenges such as divorce, conflict resolution, and family dynamics. By fostering a supportive therapeutic environment, you will help clients articulate their concerns, explore emotional responses, and develop coping strategies that lead to improved mental well-being and healthier relationships.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a trusting therapeutic alliance with clients through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to client interactions, with an emphasis on creating a safe space for self-exploration.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively balance client caseloads and administrative tasks.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with the following experience:
