Job Description

Our Plex Professional Services team is looking to add an EDI Delivery Consultant to support domestic and international Trading Partners. As an EDI expert, your mission is to ensure our Customers successfully implement EDI Trading Partners in the Plex Smart Manufacturing Platform, and support our Customer's Teams becoming proficient supporting EDI at their manufacturing facilities. You will use your experience in ERP, Supply Chain, and EDI to provide consulting leadership to customers within the manufacturing industry.

This role will report to the EDI Delivery Manager.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Participate in customer kick-off meetings: review project expectations, deliverables, timelines, and budgets
  • Monitor and deliver to a mutually agreed project plan, implementation timeline, and budget
  • Gather and create accurate requirements for software configuration or new development, designed to meet the true business needs of the customer and requirements of the Trading Partner
  • Test and configure software to meet customer requirements
  • Conduct workshops for customers
  • Provide multi-faceted support while delivering services, including: resolving problems, explaining products and services, instructing in use of software, configuring software, managing risks, troubleshooting, billing concerns, and other business priorities
  • Communicate appropriate guidance for resolution and status in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with Services (Professional, Technical, and Support), Customer Success, Product Management, and Product Engineering
  • Gather information, research, and manage customer requests from creation to completion
  • Manage timelines and deliverables with internal departments and customers
  • Utilize and enhance our Delivery Practice, PMO and the Plex Knowledge Management System
  • Build formal and informal relationships with customers and internal team members

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • The ability to travel 10% of the time.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a consulting role within manufacturing industry.
  • 2+ years of experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
  • Prior Plex experience.
  • Prior experience with EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, ODETTE, and VDA).
  • Prior experience using BOOMI in a professional environment.
  • Experienced in project management.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours on occasion.
