Work Environment

This is a full-time position that allows for flexible work arrangements, enabling you to work remotely while being part of our vibrant outpatient team. While your primary work will be conducted from home, you will occasionally participate in school events and meetings, which may require evening or weekend attendance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify and analyze students' emotional, social, and behavioral needs.
• Utilize a variety of tools including interviews, observational data, and standardized assessments to evaluate mental health needs.
• Provide individualized and group counseling sessions targeting pressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, and adjustment disorders.
• Implement short-term and ongoing counseling interventions that are rooted in evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on relevant topics like bullying prevention, social skills acquisition, and effective stress management techniques.
• Collaborate with educators, school administrators, and families to develop targeted behavioral interventions and improvement plans for students.
• Support transition planning for students and connect them with local community resources for additional support.
• Conduct crisis intervention strategies, perform risk assessments, and devise safety plans as necessary.
• Host psychoeducation workshops for students, parents, and staff to enhance understanding of mental health issues and available resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, your primary clients will be the students enrolled in our educational programs, as well as their families and guardians. You will work with a diverse student population, including those experiencing varying levels of emotional and behavioral challenges. Your expertise in trauma-informed care will be essential to effectively engage with children and adolescents, cultivating a sense of trust and safety within your interactions.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
• Demonstrated understanding of child and adolescent developmental stages and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Exceptional communication abilities, with a talent for collaborating across various stakeholders including educators, families, and community partners.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working within school settings or educational environments is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with behavioral interventions and programs designed for student success.
• Experience providing trauma-informed care and crisis management in educational contexts.

Compensation and Benefits
