Comfort of Home Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our growing team. This is a full-time, remote position that offers the flexibility to work from home while providing vital mental health support to various clients. • Conduct initial assessments to evaluate the mental health status of clients and determine their treatment needs.
• Formulate individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and client goals, ensuring that therapies are culturally competent and inclusive.
• Provide ongoing psychotherapy sessions, utilizing individual and group therapies tailored to the clients' specific challenges such as anxiety, depression, or substance abuse.
• Utilize therapeutic techniques to empower clients with tools for coping and recovery, helping them achieve measurable progress toward their therapy goals.
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists or community support services, when additional intervention is warranted.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions within electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
• Participate in regular team meetings to review case progress and share insights or challenges with colleagues, fostering a collaborative environment focused on positive patient outcomes.

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and present a variety of mental health concerns, including but not limited to, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related issues, and substance abuse. You will be expected to engage with clients aged from adolescence up to seniors, adapting your therapeutic approach to best suit the unique needs of each individual. With a commitment to cultural competence, you will ensure that treatment modalities are respectful and responsive to the diverse identities of your clients.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LPC, or LCSW) in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of four years of clinical experience in mental health counseling is preferred.
• Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations and a deep understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatments.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, maintaining composure in high-stress situations, and effectively managing client crises as they arise.
• High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with an aptitude for building rapport and trust with clients.
• Proficiency in using EHR systems for case documentation and familiarity with other digital tools used in teletherapy.
• Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and the highest professional standards in counseling.

• Experience in facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions with a multicultural approach.
• Familiarity with integrating technology into therapy, such as online resources and virtual support groups.
• History of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care provided to clients.
