Job description

Regional insurance defense firm seeks Associate Attorney for remote work, with potential partnership opportunities for lateral candidates! Utah attorneys with limited or extensive experience invited to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Legal research and writing including pleadings, motions, written discovery, disclosures, and other litigation documents.
  • Business writing and other effective communication with clients, claims professionals, witnesses and opposing counsel.
  • Manage and conduct all phases of litigation, including evaluation of claims, defenses, and next steps.
  • Conduct depositions, argue motions, try cases.

Qualifications:

  • Utah Bar license required; licenses in Wyoming or Colorado a plus.
  • Must be located in Utah.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Experience with insurance defense preferred but not necessary.

Skills:

  • Proficiency with LexisNexis for effective legal research.
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex laws and regulations accurately.
