Job description

This is a remote role within the United States. US work authorization is required.

About VIATechnik:

VIATechnik is on a mission to lead the built environment in creating a better future, today. We are one team of over 500 digital experts around the globe. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed architects, engineers, tradespersons, researchers, and business leaders. Together, we empower clients through high-quality, high-velocity experiences that consistently improve outcomes across the design, construction, and operations of buildings and infrastructure. Our clients include Amazon, Mars Wrigley, and National Geographic, the firms shaping the world's most ambitious projects.

Why This Role Is a Career Move

You'll step into a role as VDC Engineer II where your technical insight, coordination instincts, and leadership will directly influence high-profile projects. You'll guide global modelers, run client-facing digital coordination, and help improve how VDC workflows operate across civil and building projects. As Civil3D demand cycles shift, you'll also build mastery in Navisworks clash detection and integrated digital delivery - giving you flexible, expanding expertise across disciplines.

This is a place to grow fast, increase your scope, and become a trusted advisor to sophisticated clients shaping the built environment.

Why Your Work Will Matter

Your modeling and coordination will help uncover issues early, reduce field conflicts, accelerate delivery, and improve the quality of major civil projects. Your leadership will strengthen global teamwork, raise client confidence, and push the boundaries of what great VDC execution looks like.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Civil3D modeling, coordination, and digital delivery for major civil and infrastructure projects.
  • Work closely with Manila production teams to guide modeling standards, answer technical questions, and ensure consistent quality.
  • Present models, findings, and constructability insights directly to clients in virtual coordination meetings.
  • Improve workflows, templates, QA/QC checks, and handoff structures that make global digital delivery run smoother.
  • Support Navisworks clash detection and cross-discipline coordination when Civil3D demand fluctuates.
  • Run sessions, track issues, and communicate resolution plans in clear, actionable ways.
  • Contribute to training and knowledge-sharing initiatives that strengthen team capability.
  • Explore and test AI-driven modeling or coordination tools to boost accuracy and efficiency.

Apply if you have:

  • 3+ years' experience in BIM/VDC execution for civil or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong Civil3D modeling and civil utility comprehension - grading, drainage, site infrastructure, and constructability.
  • Experience coordinating with or working for general contractors or sitework/excavation teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, communicate clearly, and stay organized in a fast-moving, remote environment.
  • Comfort leading virtual meetings, presenting technical content, and guiding cross-functional decisions.
  • Familiarity with Navisworks coordination, clash detection, and multi-discipline model integration.
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset - and genuine motivation to improve workflows and team performance.

Compensation and featured benefits:

  • The pay for this position is $85,000– $95,000, and the role is eligible for bonuses. The actual salary offer may be different as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, location, and experience
  • Health insurance with the choice of five plan options. We cover 70-95% of premiums for VIATechies and 65% of the premiums for dependents (depending on the plan chosen)
  • Dental and vision insurance. We cover up to 75% of the monthly insurance premiums for VIATechies and up to 50% of the premiums for dependents (depending on the plans chosen)
  • Open and flexible time off
  • A 401(k) plan that is fully vested immediately
  • Home office setup costs
  • Paid holidays

As a minority and woman owned and led company, VIATechnik seeks to build a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. VIATechnik is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment.
