Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, taking into account the interplay between patients' medical conditions and their psychological health.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that are evidence-based and tailored to address both psychiatric and physical health needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using therapeutic modalities that align with the unique needs of the patients served.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary medical teams to coordinate care, ensuring holistic treatment approaches and effective patient outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, utilizing established protocols and best practices.
• Educate patients on the relationship between their mental health and physical ailments, empowering them to take an active role in their treatment plans.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
• Participate actively in case conferences and team planning sessions, contributing insights and perspectives to enhance patient care.
• Stay informed on current mental health research and trends, particularly in integrated care, to apply the latest knowledge to clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clientele includes individuals with a range of psychiatric disorders who also suffer from co-morbid medical conditions such as chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, and substance use disorders. This specialization allows you to make a significant difference in the lives of patients whose treatments involve multiple facets of care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Nevada.
• Expertise in handling the mental health challenges faced by individuals with concurrent medical conditions.
• Demonstrated experience in collaborative care models and integrated health practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective patient interaction and coordination with team members.
• Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, upholding patient confidentiality, and abiding by legal guidelines.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems that facilitate efficient patient management.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, enhancing patient welfare through shared goals.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years experience in clinical settings providing mental health counseling.
• Experience in telehealth delivery will be advantageous, highlighting your adaptability to remote practices.

Compensation and Benefits
