• Conduct comprehensive client assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized assessment tools and client interviews.
• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, preferences, and personal goals, ensuring active client involvement in the therapeutic process.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities for treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting these approaches to best suit individual client circumstances.
• Provide education and support to clients and their families about mood disorders, equipping them with knowledge about treatment options and effective self-care strategies.
• Monitor clients' progress through regular evaluations and adjust treatment plans as necessary, documenting all findings comprehensively in a secure and confidential manner.
• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to client care.
• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment through ongoing education and professional development activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards, ensuring that all client information remains confidential.
• Act as an advocate for your clients, working towards de-stigmatization of mental health issues and supporting their journey towards better mental wellness.

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with mood disorders directly associated with changes in emotional state, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will interact with a varied client demographic, which may include adolescents, adults, and even elderly clients. Your approach will always be informed by evidence-based practices that respect the diverse backgrounds and needs of each individual.

• To qualify for this position, candidates should possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California is required.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience in therapy, with a focus on mood disorders, is essential to this role.
• Expertise in utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT, is mandatory.
• Solid understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to engage with psychiatrists and other healthcare personnel in a collegial manner is crucial.
• Demonstrated success in achieving positive client outcomes, alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills, will also be expected.

• While three years of experience is mandatory, we prefer candidates with at least two years of post-licensure experience specifically dealing with mood disorders.
• A history of successful teamwork and collaboration within a multidisciplinary treatment team will be highly regarded.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques may provide an added advantage in our dynamic work environment.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 – 130,000 annually, reflecting your expertise and experience.
