As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Soul Restore, you will:

• Deliver trauma-informed counseling sessions to individuals, couples, and families, tailoring each session to client needs and goals.
• Integrate Christian counseling principles into sessions, ensuring clients seeking spiritual guidance receive appropriate support.
• Craft and implement comprehensive treatment plans based on thorough assessments of client needs.
• Serve clients referred through local churches, strengthening partnerships and community ties.
• Actively participate in outreach initiatives, fostering new referral sources and expanding your client base.
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers, to create a holistic approach to client care.
• Maintain thorough client records, ensuring progress notes are accurately entered into the electronic health records (EHR) system in a timely manner.
• Maintain open lines of communication regarding your availability and client scheduling with the center director.

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing trauma, couples experiencing relational challenges, and families seeking support for various mental health issues. Our clients often appreciate a faith-based approach to therapy, requiring sensitivity to their spiritual beliefs and an understanding of how these beliefs intersect with their mental health journeys.

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
• A strong understanding of Biblical principles and counseling techniques.
• An independent license as a LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in Washington, or be within 200 hours of completing residency for licensure.

While we require at least one year of direct trauma counseling experience, we prefer candidates who have:

• Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland, enhancing our referral capabilities.
• Experience with EMDR therapy or the commitment to complete basic EMDR training within the first three months of employment.
• A comprehensive knowledge of various therapeutic modalities to cater to the unique needs of our client base.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, vital for building trusting relationships.
• A compassionate, empathetic approach with an ability to maintain strict confidentiality and comply with ethical guidelines.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $105,000, depending on experience and licensure. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer benefits including:
