• Provide trauma-informed counseling services to individuals, couples, and families while utilizing various therapeutic methodologies.
• Incorporate Christian counseling techniques for clients who prefer a faith-based approach, ensuring alignment with their values and beliefs.
• Develop tailored treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments of client needs and therapeutic goals.
• Facilitate counseling sessions for clients referred from local churches and community organizations, supporting outreach initiatives to build a wide referral network.
• Actively engage in community outreach efforts that promote mental health awareness and connect potential clients with our services.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress through electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure continuity of care.
• Communicate effectively with the center director regarding schedule management and any client-related needs.

• A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field is required.
• Applicants must possess a valid LPC, LMFT, or LCSW license in Washington, DC, or be within 200 hours of completing residency.
• Solid understanding of biblical counseling principles and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients from all walks of life.
• A deep commitment to confidentiality and strong adherence to ethical practice guidelines.

• At least one year of experience in trauma counseling is required.
• Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EMDR therapy; willingness to obtain EMDR basic training within three months of hire.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and interventions is a strong asset.
