Work Environment

The work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional evening shifts based on patient care needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations to assess the psychological and emotional needs of children and adolescents.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that consider individual developmental stages and family dynamics.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to effectively address a range of mental health challenges.
• Facilitate family therapy sessions that equip parents and caregivers with tools to foster a nurturing home environment.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including child psychiatrists and healthcare professionals, to provide seamless patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, offering immediate support during mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients and families on mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources.
• Maintain precise and confidential records per legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record systems.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be on children and adolescents facing various mental health issues. You will be instrumental in developing coping strategies and treatment approaches that are tailored to younger populations. Understanding the intricacies of child development and family dynamics is essential as you aim to create supportive relationships with both the youth and their families.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LCMFT, LCSW, LCP, LCPC, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas.
• Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities relating to child and adolescent mental health disorders.
• Proven experience delivering individual and family therapeutic services.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on a child-centered and compassionate approach.
• A demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital communication tools.
• Capability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in mental health counseling or therapy with a focus on child and adolescent populations.
• Experience with diverse therapeutic interventions and crisis management.
• Participation in continuing education and training related to child and adolescent mental health.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 104,000 per year, reflecting experience and qualifications, along with performance-based bonuses. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
