Position Details

Title: SIS Project Coordinator (Consultant)

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Location: West Palm Beach, FL (onsite) or remote/virtual

Engagement: Full-time consulting assignment (40 hours/week) for 6-9 months, with potential to convert to a permanent position based on business need and performance.

Compensation: Market rate; based on qualifications, resume, and earning history.

Contract type: 1099 (independent contractor)

Time zone: Eastern Time (EDT) business hours


What You'll Do

This role is as much about people and communication as it is about systems. You'll be the connective tissue between vendors, leadership, and end users-keeping workstreams aligned, informed, and moving forward.

  • Lead recurring project meetings and working sessions; publish agendas, notes, decisions, and action items.
  • Provide clear weekly status updates to leadership and stakeholders (progress, risks, decisions needed, and next steps).
  • Track risks, issues, and dependencies across teams; escalate appropriately and drive timely resolution.
  • Support change management and adoption by coordinating communications, training plans, and readiness activities.
  • Coordinate tenant provisioning and environment setup (production and, as needed, sandbox).
  • Support system configuration and workflow alignment with College stakeholders.
  • Coordinate data migration support (templates, validation, imports, and reconciliation).
  • Coordinate integration and testing (where applicable).
  • Plan and support end-user training sessions across departments (live sessions).
  • Support go-live planning and execution.
  • Coordinate post-go-live stabilization (four weeks) with weekly check-ins.
  • Align internal engineering/technical support resources during deployment.

For SIS implementations, the project typically includes approximately 200 structured tasks across 17 milestones, spanning discovery, configuration, data validation, training, and launch readiness.
