Position: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Work Type: On-site
Experience Required: 7โ€“20 years (Industrial/Chemical plant experience required)
Job Type: Contract (6 months)
Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a short-term, high-impact assignment at a chemical plant. This role requires strong expertise in industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced plant environment.
Core Responsibilities

  • ย Perform electrical engineering design and analysis for industrial projectsย 
  • ย Develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and one-line diagramsย 
  • ย Conduct electrical load studies, short circuit studies, and arc flash analysisย 
  • ย Design and specify electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and UPS systemsย 
  • ย Prepare control schematics, grounding systems, and heat tracing designsย 
  • ย Lead project teams and coordinate with stakeholdersย 
  • ย Support field activities including installation checks, troubleshooting, and system validationย 
  • ย Act as Project Lead for single-discipline projects (scope development & resource planning)ย 
Required Qualifications

  • ย Bachelorโ€™s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited)ย 
  • ย PE license preferredย 
  • ย 7โ€“20 years of experience in heavy industrial sectors (chemical, petrochemical, manufacturing, energy)ย 
  • ย Strong knowledge of protective relaying and short circuit analysisย 
  • ย Experience with electrical modeling tools (e.g., EasyPower or similar)ย 
  • ย Experience in instrumentation and control systemsย
