Job description

About the opportunity

Axyde Analytics is assembling a U.S.-eligible team for USTDA Global Critical Minerals Project Scoping Services. The anticipated 24-month assignment may include concept screens, assessments, TORs and budgets, project reports, sector deep dives, stakeholder consultations and limited international travel. This is a contingent, project-based consulting opportunity; engagement depends on contract award and assignment demand.

What you will do

  • Lead technical-economic-financial screening of mining, processing, refining and supply-chain projects from concept through investment readiness.
  • Build or review production, revenue, capital-cost, operating-cost, working-capital, tax/royalty, cash-flow and sensitivity assumptions.
  • Develop implementation-ready TORs, task structures, staffing plans, schedules, deliverables and budgets for feasibility studies, technical assistance and pilots.
  • Assess financing pathways, sponsor capacity, public/private roles, DFI/ECA participation and opportunities for competitive U.S. exports.
  • Translate technical uncertainty into clear decision gates, information requirements and commercially grounded recommendations.

Minimum qualifications

  • At least 10 years of mining or minerals project economics, feasibility, project finance, commercial due diligence or owner advisory experience.
  • Demonstrated authorship or management of feasibility-study, technical-assistance or pilot-project TORs and budgets.
  • Strong Excel financial-modeling skills and experience linking geological/technical assumptions to economic outcomes.
  • Degree in engineering, geology, finance, economics, business or a closely related discipline.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with USTDA, DFC, EXIM, MCC, USAID, World Bank/IFC, regional development banks or comparable project-development institutions.
  • Direct work on critical-minerals projects in emerging markets and familiarity with U.S. export-content analysis.
  • MBA, CFA, graduate engineering/economics degree or recognized project-finance credential.

Required eligibility

  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident; able to certify eligibility before proposal use or engagement.
  • Available for short-turn remote assignments, on-call work during an anticipated 24-month period, and international travel when requested.
  • Able to sign confidentiality, conflict-of-interest, commitment/consent and other required representations.

How to express interest

  • Apply through the posting platform or the Axyde Analytics contact that shared this announcement. Include:
  • Resume or CV limited to three pages, emphasizing directly relevant projects and personal responsibilities.
  • A 150-word summary connecting your experience to this role and identifying critical-minerals commodities and countries supported.
  • Availability through the anticipated performance period, travel capacity, and confirmation of U.S.-citizen or lawful-permanent-resident status; do not send identity documents.
  • Proposed hourly/daily rate or rate range and any known organizational or financial conflicts.
Axyde Analytics may contact only candidates whose qualifications match an anticipated assignment. This announcement is not a promise of employment or subcontract award.
