As a licensed mental health therapist at Chat and Change Counseling, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to thoroughly evaluate patients’ trauma histories and inform tailored treatment planning.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective therapy sessions.
• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging patients to process their trauma and aiding them in developing healthy coping strategies.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, guiding patients through critical moments with empathy and expertise.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available support systems, fostering awareness and understanding.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that adheres to all legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in ongoing case consultations to share insights and enhance therapeutic approaches within the team.
• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in trauma therapy to continually enhance your practice.

Your work will predominantly involve supporting individuals impacted by various forms of trauma. The patient population at Chat and Change Counseling includes adults who are experiencing symptoms related to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will play a pivotal role in helping these individuals reclaim their narratives, rebuild their sense of self, and cultivate resilience, significantly contributing to their overall mental health and well-being.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California.
• At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, with a preference for those experienced in trauma-informed care.

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly regarded:

• Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with trauma-related disorders and the application of trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Proficiency in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.
• Ability to remain calm and composed during high-stress situations, ensuring clients feel secure and supported.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications to manage patient information efficiently.
• Previous experience working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
