Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home in Long Beach, California. We leverage innovative telehealth technology to facilitate seamless communication with clients via video chat and digital messaging. Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your primary duties will include:

• Conducting individual counseling sessions with clients via secure video chat, aiming to enhance their mental health and overall well-being.
• Encouraging clients to explore their emotions and experiences, aiding them in gaining insight into their behaviors and interpersonal relationships.
• Acting as an advocate for clients by assisting them in identifying and articulating their personal goals for therapy.
• Evaluating clients’ mental health conditions and crafting personalized treatment plans grounded in evidenced-based practices and your clinical expertise.
• Utilizing a solution-focused approach to therapy, while consistently monitoring client progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a client base of stable adults with low acuity mental health concerns. All clients are thoroughly screened prior to booking appointments, ensuring a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment. You will be matched with clients based on your specialization and demographic preferences, which will enhance the therapeutic alliance.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Full licensure (in good standing) in California as either a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Strong interpersonal skills coupled with a sympathetic and empathetic nature, enabling you to build rapport with diverse clients.
• Proficient computer skills, comfortable using telehealth platforms for counseling.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience working in a telehealth environment or with specialized populations may be preferred. Experience in using therapy platforms and electronic health record systems will be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

HealthLinkNow offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications. In addition to our comprehensive compensation package, we provide a sign-on bonus, minimal paperwork requirements, and opportunities to maximize your income through a supplemental part-time or full-time workload. You will be supported with unlimited client referrals and quick onboarding processes, allowing you to see clients within a few days of joining.
