About iCOUNTER

iCOUNTER is building the future of cybersecurity.

Modern enterprises rely on thousands of third parties, suppliers, SaaS providers, contractors, and digital partners. At the same time, attackers have shifted their focus to these trusted relationships. Today, nearly half of reported breaches involve a third party, making the extended enterprise one of the largest attack surfaces in cybersecurity.

iCOUNTER is the first Risk Intelligence company built to help organizations identify, determine, and counter threats across their ecosystem. Our AI-native platform makes a Risk Determination at the point of intelligence collection, helping organizations understand what is real, what is relevant, and what requires action.

At the center of our platform is CTOS™, the Counter Threat Operating System. CTOS continuously monitors adversary activity, credential exposure, targeting behavior, and ecosystem risk across third and fourth parties. It then routes intelligence into action through automated workflows and managed operations.

Founded by cybersecurity pioneer John Watters and a team of leaders from threat intelligence, telecommunications, third-party risk, and artificial intelligence, iCOUNTER is creating a new category called Counter Threat Operations.

Backed by leading investors and fresh from a successful Series A, iCOUNTER already supports some of the world's largest telecommunications providers, state and local government organizations, and critical infrastructure operators.

The first wave of cybersecurity focused on prevention.

The second wave focused on detection and response.

The third wave is Counter Threat Operations.

If you want to help define the next era of cybersecurity and build technology that helps organizations stop monitoring threats and start countering them, we'd love to meet you.

Position Overview

iCOUNTER is seeking a highly strategic, execution-oriented Chief of Staff to partner directly with the CEO and COO during a period of rapid growth and organizational scaling.

This role is designed for an exceptional operator who thrives in high-velocity environments, excels at solving complex, ambiguous business challenges, and drives alignment across executive leadership and cross-functional teams. As Chief of Staff, you will serve as a force multiplier for the CEO, translating strategy into execution while strengthening organizational effectiveness, operational discipline, and decision-making rigor across the company.

You will lead critical cross-functional initiatives, that accelerate growth and scale, support board and investor engagement, and shape executive communications. In doing so, you will play a central role in establishing the operating cadence and execution engine of a high-growth, venture-backed cybersecurity company building the future of Counter Threat Operations.

The role is ideally based in Dallas-Fort Worth area to facilitate close collaboration with the CEO and executive leadership team. Candidates willing to relocate are encouraged to apply. Exceptional remote candidates will also be considered, particularly those located in Texas or New York, with the ability to travel as needed for leadership meetings.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO and COO to drive corporate strategy, operational priorities, and organizational alignment.
  • Lead and manage high-impact cross-functional initiatives that support rapid growth, operational scale, and execution of strategic objectives.
  • Develop business cases, strategic analyses, and executive recommendations to support key business, investment, and operational decisions.
  • Track and drive accountability for company objectives, key performance indicators, and strategic initiatives, ensuring timely execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Support executive engagement with investors, customers, advisors, strategic partners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and coordinate board meetings, investor communications, capital raising, and strategic partner engagements.
  • Develop executive presentations, board materials, operating reviews, playbooks, and strategic communications to support leadership decision-making and business operations.
  • Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, and business analysis to identify growth opportunities, emerging trends, and strategic risks.

Required Skills

  • 5-10 years of experience in strategic consulting at a top-tier management consulting firm
  • Success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in high-growth technology environments
  • AI knowledge/skill relevant to improving productivity and client value in a corporate environment
  • Demonstrated analytical, financial modeling, and business planning capabilities
  • Highly organized self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, SaaS, enterprise software, or risk management industries

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity market dynamics, threat intelligence, third-party risk management, or AI-driven security solutions
  • Experience supporting board operations, fundraising, investor relations, or corporate development initiatives
  • MBA or advanced business degree a plus
  • Prior experience working in venture-backed or high-growth startup environments a plus

Why Join iCOUNTER

This is a rare opportunity to help define a new cybersecurity category while working alongside industry pioneers, experienced operators, and world-class investors. You will have a direct impact on company strategy, market leadership, and the future of how organizations counter threats across their extended enterprise.

If you are energized by ambiguity, inspired by innovation, and excited to build something category-defining, we want to hear from you.
