You will be part of an outpatient office model that emphasizes flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of our patients. Typical working hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, encourage a work-life balance while permitting some variability to accommodate patient appointments.

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments, employing evidence-based practices to establish personalized treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Utilize established therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective interventions that address various mental health challenges.
• Maintain accurate and secure clinical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team, which includes psychiatrists and psychologists, to optimize care pathways for clients.
• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to enhance therapeutic practices and quality of care.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, promoting informed participation in their care.
• Keep abreast of developments in the mental health field through ongoing professional development and research, ensuring the delivery of the most current practices.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Backpack Mental Support, you will work closely with a diverse population of clients. This includes individuals grappling with trauma, anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges. Your role will be vital in guiding clients through their mental health journeys, offering them support that caters to their unique circumstances and life experiences.

• A graduate degree, either a Master’s or Doctorate, in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Oregon.
• Deep understanding of solution-focused and evidence-based therapeutic interventions, allowing for a customized approach to each client's care.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, fostering strong relationships with clients, their families, and team members.
• A demonstrated capacity for problem-solving and critical thinking, ensuring effective decision-making in clinical settings.
