Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your workday, however, you may be required to attend in-office meetings or training sessions occasionally. Our outpatient office fosters an environment of teamwork and support where every staff memberโ€™s contribution is valued. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient availability and needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the psychosocial needs and recovery goals of clients seeking treatment for substance use disorders.
  • Collaborate with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
  • Facilitate engaging individual counseling sessions, guiding patients through their recovery process in a supportive, empathetic manner.
  • Lead group therapy sessions designed to foster connection, shared experience, and collaborative support among individuals on similar recovery journeys.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other professionals to ensure seamless, integrated care for clients.
  • Provide crisis intervention during substance-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support and safety for patients in distress.
  • Educate patients and their families about addiction, coping strategies, and community resources to bolster recovery efforts.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Engage actively in team meetings and case consultations to enhance the continuum of care.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in substance use disorder treatment through ongoing research and professional development activities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role involves working with a diverse population experiencing substance use disorders. You will be instrumental in helping patients overcome their addictions and achieve sustainable recovery, while also providing essential support to their families. Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure as either an LCSW-C, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Maryland is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated expertise in substance use disorders and a solid understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 80,000 to $100,000 annually, plus eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
