• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to accurately evaluate clients' mental health needs and strengths.
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and family systems therapy.
• Develop detailed treatment plans that outline specific goals, therapeutic interventions, and methods for monitoring progress.
• Collaborate with a diverse, multidisciplinary team to create and refine holistic treatment strategies, ensuring coordinated care delivery.
• Provide crisis intervention services, which include executing risk assessments and establishing safety plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Advocate for the rights of clients, connecting them with relevant resources and providing effective case management support.
• Engage actively in community outreach programs to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma in vulnerable populations.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the Methodist Healthcare Center, you will primarily serve clients facing the emotional and psychological challenges associated with terminal illness and palliative care. Our patient population is diverse, including individuals from varying socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures, and ages. Your role will involve tailoring therapeutic approaches to honor and respect their unique narratives, preferences, and cultural contexts.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is mandatory.
• An active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required.
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to cultural competence while working with diverse populations.
• Exceptional communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills are essential to effectively support and advocate for clients.

• Previous experience in community mental health settings or hospice care is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with mental health resources and services in New Jersey and the surrounding areas is advantageous.
• Experience in conducting therapy in a remote or telehealth setting will be beneficial.
