What is remote case management?

Remote case management is a process where case managers coordinate and oversee services for clients, such as patients or social service recipients, from a remote location using digital communication tools. This approach allows professionals to assess needs, develop care plans, monitor progress, and provide support without in-person meetings. Remote case management is increasingly popular in healthcare, social work, and insurance sectors, offering flexibility and expanded access to services. It relies on secure technology to maintain client confidentiality and ensure effective communication. This model can improve efficiency and client engagement, especially for individuals in rural or underserved areas.

How does remote case management typically facilitate effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams?

In remote case management, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is often achieved through regular virtual meetings, secure messaging platforms, and shared documentation systems. Case managers coordinate care by maintaining clear communication with healthcare providers, social workers, and external agencies, ensuring that all parties are updated on client progress and needs. While working remotely can present challenges such as time zone differences and technology barriers, most organizations provide access to digital tools and scheduled check-ins to support seamless teamwork. This collaborative environment enables case managers to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care, even when working from different locations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote case manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Case Manager, you need a background in social work or related fields, strong organizational skills, and experience with case management processes. Familiarity with case management software, electronic documentation systems, and sometimes certifications like CCM (Certified Case Manager) are typically required. Exceptional communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills help build rapport and effectively support clients remotely. These skills ensure efficient service delivery, client engagement, and successful outcomes while working from a distance.

Job description

About EyeQ Monitoring

EyeQ Monitoring is a fast-growing leader in AI-driven remote video monitoring, delivering real-time security, operational intelligence, and business visibility across industries like automotive, multifamily, commercial real estate, construction, and retail.

Our solutions combine live monitoring, IoT-enabled camera technology, intelligent deterrence, and investigative support to help customers protect their properties, reduce risk, and make smarter business decisions. As we continue to grow, we are looking for team members who are excited to help build scalable, thoughtful, and customer-focused solutions that make a real impact.

About the Role

The Product Manager owns the Multi-Family & Commercial Real Estate vertical at EyeQ Monitoring โ€” including retail stores and shopping centers. This person is responsible for the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for IoT and camera-based solutions serving these customers, including how Virtual Guard, License Plate Management, Forensics, and Case Management are configured, packaged, and extended for vertical-specific needs. They are the voice of the Multi-Family/CRE customer inside EyeQ and the owner of the vertical's product P&L narrative.

Here at EyeQ, people matter. Any new team members we bring on have to live and breathe our core values, just like we do.

  • We value trusted partnerships.
We believe in transparent, reliable, and growing relationships with our team and customersโ€”and we turn away people and businesses that donโ€™t fit.
  • We build to last.
We focus on long-term solutions and spend the time upfront to ensure our work is done right the first time.
  • We take the hill.
We lean into challenges, push into new technology frontiers, and solve problems others avoid. We value speed, ownership, and people we trust to run toward the hard things together.
  • We enjoy the journey.
We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. Weโ€™re proud of what weโ€™re building and the team we get to build it with.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the product roadmap for the Multi-Family & Commercial Real Estate vertical
  • Define and prioritize product investments based on customer needs and business goals
  • Drive product strategy across Virtual Guard, License Plate Management, Forensics, Case Management, and future vertical-specific capabilities
  • Balance customer needs, technical feasibility, and business impact when making roadmap decisions

Customer Discovery & Market Expertise

  • Build strong relationships with Multi-Family, CRE, retail, and shopping center customers
  • Conduct customer interviews and field visits to understand operational workflows and pain points
  • Gather customer feedback and translate insights into prioritized product initiatives
  • Represent the voice of the customer throughout the product development lifecycle

Product Development

  • Partner closely with Engineering and IoT teams to deliver high-quality product enhancements
  • Write clear Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Participate in sprint planning, prioritization, and feature validation
  • Ensure successful delivery of roadmap commitments

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing on product positioning, messaging, launches, and demos
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success on pricing, packaging, rollout strategies, and customer adoption
  • Communicate roadmap priorities and product updates across the organization
  • Represent EyeQ at customer meetings, advisory boards, and industry events

Product Performance

  • Define and measure product success through adoption, retention, expansion, customer satisfaction, and competitive performance
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and product differentiation
  • Continuously refine strategy based on customer feedback, market trends, and business performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3โ€“5 years of product management experience
  • Experience owning a product area or vertical from strategy through launch
  • Strong experience writing PRDs, product specifications, and roadmap documentation
  • Ability to translate customer feedback into actionable product priorities
  • Experience partnering closely with Engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience

  • Physical security, remote monitoring, PropTech, IoT, or video surveillance products
  • Multi-Family, Commercial Real Estate, retail, or shopping center operations
  • Hardware and software product ecosystems
  • Agile product development methodologies
  • Formal product management training or certifications (Pragmatic, SVPG, or similar)

Additional Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Standard full-time business hours, with flexibility around key launch windows and major product releases.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5โ€“10% for industry events, customer visits, and team off-sites.
  • No specific licenses or certifications are required.
