Position Overview

Peace Marriage and Family Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality therapy services to individuals and families grappling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. You will leverage your expertise to foster relational and interpersonal skills among clients in order to promote healing and growth.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements that promote a healthy work-life balance. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals through virtual platforms and engage in ongoing communication to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to client needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patientsโ€™ emotional and behavioral problems, identifying areas needing intervention.
  • Create and maintain individualized treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and progress monitoring.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations, contributing insights and feedback to enhance the overall treatment plan.
  • Offer crisis intervention and stabilization strategies as emergencies arise, ensuring patients receive immediate support.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals and families facing challenges related to substance abuse, mental health disorders, and significant relational stressors. This diverse client population requires a therapist who is compassionate, culturally competent, and skilled in diverse therapeutic approaches to meet various needs.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Valid and active LMFT license to practice in the state.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience in a therapeutic setting.
  • Strong abilities in psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention strategies, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Comprehensive understanding of individual and family development across the lifespan.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience treating clients with co-occurring disorders and adapting therapeutic interventions accordingly.
  • Proficiency in using telehealth platforms for therapy delivery.
