Position Overview

Emory Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCPC, LMFT, LCSW) to join our dynamic team remotely. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to identify their unique mental health needs.
  • Provide individualized and family therapy sessions that align with the specific needs and treatment goals of patients.
  • Timely complete billing, documentation, and individualized treatment plans, ensuring that insurance authorization forms are accurately filled out within specified deadlines.
  • Design and implement crisis plans, safety and relapse prevention plans, and wellness strategies that empower patients to maintain stable functioning in their daily lives.
  • Create and execute comprehensive discharge plans for patients, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Adhere to all federal and state regulations, as well as Emory Healthโ€™s policies and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of ethical practice.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development by attending training sessions and participating in continuing education opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills.
  • Engage in case consultations and agency meetings, collaborating closely with other professionals to enhance patient care.
  • Fulfill all licensure and mandatory training requirements as directed by the state and the organization.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a community health or outpatient setting, particularly in working with underrepresented populations.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and billing processes.
  • Case management experience is a plus.
