About the Organization

Lightbox Counselling and Psychotherapy Association is a forward-thinking mental health organization committed to delivering compassionate and high-quality care. This role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your home. You'll retain the autonomy to manage your clinical style and treatment techniques while benefiting from the support of a mission-driven team. Our normal working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured but adaptable work schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough intake evaluations to assess clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices.
  • Provide ongoing psychotherapy to individuals and, where appropriate, to couples or families, utilizing methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed approaches.

  • Coordinate care with external agencies such as medical providers or schools, ensuring a cohesive treatment plan for clients.
  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical practice standards across all interactions and documentation.

You will work with clients from various backgrounds and present different mental health conditions, enhancing your clinical skills while fostering an inclusive environment for all.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of clinical assessments, treatment planning, and a variety of therapeutic interventions.
  • Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, critical for effectively connecting with clients and colleagues.
  • Exhibit the ability to operate independently while simultaneously fostering collaboration with clinical staff.
Preferred Experience

  • Experience with youth, couples, or family systems is highly desirable, reflecting a broad understanding of different relational dynamics.
  • A proven track record of working with culturally diverse clients or in underserved communities, emphasizing your commitment to social justice in mental health.

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per year based on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
