• Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for individuals, groups, and families dealing with mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, trauma, and relational issues.
• Facilitate engaging and therapeutically sound therapy sessions, using techniques and tools that resonate with the diverse backgrounds and experiences of clients.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and educators, to coordinate comprehensive mental health care and ensure clients are receiving holistic support.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential electronic health records, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and state regulations.
• Participate in ongoing clinical supervision, training, and professional development opportunities to keep abreast of the latest therapeutic methodologies and maintain licensure.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and perform risk assessments, utilizing your skills to ensure client safety and well-being during critical situations.

Your work will primarily focus on adult clients with varying degrees of mental health challenges. You will be instrumental in fostering resilience and recovery, addressing issues that affect their quality of life. By employing a trauma-informed approach, you will help clients engage in their therapeutic process, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their journey.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field, providing a strong theoretical foundation for counseling practice.
• Active licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience delivering mental health counseling services, which could include individual, group, or family therapy settings.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, along with strong interpersonal skills that foster rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
• Proficiency with electronic health record documentation and telehealth platforms, equipping you to streamline care delivery and client management effectively.

• Experience working with a diverse client population, especially in contexts related to trauma, addiction, and acute mental health crises.
• Familiarity with specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other evidence-based approaches.
• Previous experience in a telehealth or remote counseling environment, demonstrating adaptability to various communication technologies.
