Job description

Calling your doctor shouldn't be harder than seeing your doctor. But at most practices, patients wait on hold, front-office staff drown in ring queues, and revenue walks out the door with every missed call.

Transform9 builds AI agents that answer every call for physician practices - scheduling appointments, routing callers, and resolving routine requests in seconds, around the clock. Our agents integrate directly with each practice's EHR, practice management, and phone systems, and adapt to how their front office actually works.

Our agents have handled millions of patient calls for thousands of providers, cut average hold times by 90%, and decreased call abandonment by 80%. We're headquartered in Birmingham, AL, and growing fast.

About the role

An orthopedics practice schedules nothing like a dermatology practice, and our AI agents have to respect that. You'll own how our agents handle the workflows that differ by specialty - scheduling rules, referrals, triage routing, prior-auth questions - across orthopedics, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, neurology, urology, dermatology, cardiology, and more. This is a requirements-first PM role: your core job is turning real practice workflows into precise, build-ready product requirements that engineering can ship without guesswork. The ideal candidate comes straight from a practice environment and knows these workflows and systems cold.

What you'll do
  • Write detailed, unambiguous product requirements and user stories for specialty-specific agent workflows - this is the heart of the role
  • Embed with client practices to map front-office, back-office, and clinical-adjacent workflows firsthand
  • Stand up and run our first Customer Advisory Board, turning our best clients into a structured product input engine
  • Prioritize the specialty workflow roadmap with the rest of the Product and Engineering teams
  • Define and track success metrics: containment rate, transfer rate, scheduling accuracy, patient satisfaction
  • Synthesize client feedback and clinical best practices into product decisions
Location

Remote (US). If you're in the Birmingham, AL area, this role is hybrid from our office (3 days in office / 2 remote). Periodic travel to client practices.

Requirements

  • You know specialty practice workflows and systems cold - ideally from working inside a practice (operations, administration, or management)
  • Exceptionally clear writer - your requirements leave no room for interpretation
  • 3+ years in product management or physician-practice operations leadership
  • Analytical rigor and excellent stakeholder communication
Nice to have
  • Experience with EHR/PM systems across multiple specialties
  • Experience with conversational AI, voice products, or AI-native systems
  • Experience running customer advisory boards or similar client programs

Benefits

  • Top-tier health coverage: medical, dental & vision
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off + holidays, and paid parental leave

If you want to fix the front door of healthcare, we'd love to hear from you.
