This role allows for flexible remote work, enabling you to focus on client care while enjoying a balanced professional life.

About the Organization

At Cardinal Health Counseling Services, we are committed to at-risk populations and prioritize accessibility to mental health care. Our community health clinic serves diverse individuals who face barriers to traditional mental health services. We strive to create a supportive culture that embraces collaboration, transparency, and inclusivity, ensuring that every team member has the opportunity to thrive and contribute meaningfully.

You will be part of a close-knit team of mental health professionals who work collaboratively to support each other. Our administrative support staff handles billing, marketing, and client referrals, enabling you to focus on providing high-quality care. This non-traditional practice model mitigates the stress often associated with managing a private practice.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting individual therapeutic sessions and collaborating with clients to establish and achieve personalized treatment goals.
  • Providing prevention-oriented therapy and crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Implementing and regularly reviewing detailed treatment plans to monitor and evaluate client progress.
  • Collaborating with external treatment providers, placement agencies, and community resources to offer comprehensive care.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation for all client interactions and treatment interventions, following HIPAA guidelines.
  • Managing a caseload of clients while adhering to ethical and professional standards in all practices.
  • Participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance the overall clinical environment.
  • Contributing to an enriching workplace culture focused on teamwork and positivity.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a diverse client base, encompassing individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds and with a wide range of mental health challenges. Our clients may experience issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, or substance use disorders. Delivering culturally competent care tailored to each individualโ€™s unique experiences and needs is paramount to your success in this role.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:

  • Valid and current licensure as LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in Arizona.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in mental health counseling or related fields.
  • Proficiency in utilizing community mental health resources and referral processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Proven leadership qualities and a commitment to fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences would greatly enhance a candidateโ€™s application:

  • Experience working in a community health or non-profit setting.
  • Specialized training or certifications in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling practices.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and professional credentials. Additional benefits include:

  • Reimbursement for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to support your ongoing development.
  • Performance growth incentives that reward your commitment to excellence.
  • Comprehensive administrative support, including assistance with insurance credentialing.
  • Opportunities for paid time off to enhance your work-life balance.
  • Health insurance options, including BCBS PPO/HMO plans, as well as dental and life insurance.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Cardinal Health Counseling Services, we recognize the importance of professional development and career advancement. We provide a variety of resources and opportunities for our counselors to enhance their skills, explore leadership roles, and engage in interdisciplinary collaboration. You will be encouraged to pursue your interests and specialty areas, which can lead to new avenues within the organization.

Why Join Our Team

By joining Cardinal Health Counseling Services, you become part of a mission-driven organization focused on improving the lives of individuals in our community.
