Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Cape Hope Counseling Center. In this full-time remote position, you will utilize your expertise to provide vital therapeutic services to a diverse client base. Your primary role will be to conduct assessments, develop tailored treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions aimed at fostering mental health and wellness.

Work Environment

This position allows for a flexible work environment, as you will work remotely while being connected to our outpatient office in Wichita. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify client mental health concerns, formulate accurate clinical diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques that align with best practices and client goals.
  • Offer immediate crisis intervention to clients in acute distress, employing de-escalation strategies and supportive counseling.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential client records, including treatment plans and progress notes, in adherence to ethical guidelines and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health topics, treatment options, and available community resources, while advocating for their needs when necessary.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on evolving practices in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a varied client population consisting of individuals, couples, families, and groups facing a range of mental health challenges. This includes but is not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. Your empathic approach and ability to connect with clients will be essential in supporting their journey toward mental wellness.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a valid license as a Mental Health Therapist (LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW).
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • A minimum of two years of related experience in a clinical mental health setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A capacity for both independent work and effective teamwork.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards in practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a clinical environment is highly desirable but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems to manage client information and documentation efficiently.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering an annual compensation of $85,000 to $100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
