Access Mind Counseling LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our team in a remote capacity. This full-time position focuses on delivering outpatient therapy for individuals and families navigating the challenges posed by cancer diagnoses. As a Remote Hospice Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health support, ensuring the emotional and psychological well-being of patients during a critical phase in their lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients' mental health status, utilizing appropriate diagnostic tools and frameworks, such as the DSM-5, to develop individualized care plans.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions tailored to each patientโ€™s unique needs, continuously monitoring their progress and adapting treatment strategies as necessary.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely clinical documentation, including treatment records and reports, to comply with regulatory standards and support inter-team communication.
  • Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to create customized treatment objectives that prioritize patient goals and safety.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings, providing insights and recommendations for patient care while ensuring a cohesive treatment approach.
  • Coordinate patient referrals and facilitate connections with additional therapeutic resources, building strong professional relationships within the community.
  • Offer education and mentorship to interns and trainees, fostering the next generation of social workers and contributing to their professional development.
  • Participate in peer review and clinical collaboration activities, providing guidance while receiving support for your continued practice growth.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients and families affected by cancer. This includes individuals grappling with the emotional and mental health ramifications of a cancer diagnosis, as well as those navigating end-of-life care challenges. Your expertise will help these patients articulate their needs, enabling them to find resilience and support during vulnerable moments.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid State license to practice as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience providing mental health services to oncology patients is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly in the area of grief counseling and palliative care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
