The bigger picture

As a Financial Advisor, Investments in our Member Contact Centre (call centre), you will be responsible for understanding the financial goals of our members and supporting their achievement. This includes the offering and fulfillment of financial services and products through a virtual setting. As part of this role, you will specialize in all things investments, including mutual funds.

Our hours of operation for this position are currently core banking hours, Monday to Friday. 

The preferred location for this position is within Saskatoon, Regina or Prince Albert, however other Conexus locations may be considered depending on space availability.  

How you’ll be spending your time 

Member Experience and Sales

  • Proactively identify members’ financial goals and provide advice and solutions to support their achievement through the provision of introductory financial planning
  • Provide account and investment products within scope of position, to meet member needs:
    • Memberships and accounts
    • Consumer investment products including mutual funds
    • Cards
    • Registered products
    • Mobile banking solutions
    • Day to day banking needs
  • Conduct proactive outreach activities to educate members and prospective members on the value and function of our products and services
  • Increase retention and expansion of member relationships by referring members to appropriate subject matter experts, based on needs, and follow-up to ensure member satisfaction
  • Be available to support any incoming member phone calls into the MCC Advice queues as required based on call volumes or campaign needs

Compliance and Organizational Support 

  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely documentation
  • Adhere to security and operational policies, procedures and operational controls
  • Ensure healthy balance between opportunity & risk and between growth & profitability (e.g. through understanding and application of profitability margins in rate negotiation, fee subsidies, etc.)
  • Positively represent Conexus externally to support the growth of our membership and to enhance credit union system support and collaboration
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve operational efficiencies
  • Provide support, assistance and backup as required for the team

The experience you bring 

  • 2 to 3 years of Financial Industry Experience in an Advisory Capacity
  • Actively registered to sell Mutual Fund Products
  • Experience in a Sales position is considered an asset
  • Call centre experience is considered an asset
  • Completion of or working towards the Financial Planner and Personal Financial Services Advice designations
  • Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) or Canadian Securities Course (CSC) license is required

Salary Range:

$58,540 - $73,710 with 9% Short Term Incentive Target
