Description du poste

Nous recherchons un Ingénieur en Instrumentation et Contrôle (I&C) de niveau intermédiaire pour soutenir un portefeuille croissant de projets industriels à travers l’Ouest canadien. Ce rôle se concentre sur la réalisation de conceptions I&C et sur le soutien aux activités de mise en service, avec un accent particulier sur les installations pétrolières et gazières ainsi que les environnements industriels lourds. L’ingénieur travaillera sur plusieurs projets simultanés, contribuant à la conception de panneaux PLC, à la spécification d’instrumentation et au développement de systèmes de contrôle.

Responsabilités
  • Développer des livrables clés tels que les listes d’E/S, les fiches techniques d’instruments, les récits de contrôle et les plans de panneaux.
  • Soutenir la programmation PLC et les essais de systèmes.
  • Gérer le travail de manière autonome dans un environnement principalement en télétravail.
  • Collaborer avec les ingénieurs tout en exécutant les tâches assignées avec un minimum de supervision.
  • Contribuer aux activités de conception et aux tâches terrain telles que la mise en service et le dépannage.
Compétences essentielles
  • 5 à 8 ans d’expérience en ingénierie I&C / contrôle (idéalement 7–8 ans).
  • Ingénieur professionnel (P.Eng) ou proche de l’obtention du titre.
  • Solide expérience en :
    • Spécification d’instrumentation (débitmètres, transmetteurs, vannes, etc.)
    • Conception de panneaux PLC et livrables I&C (listes d’E/S, fiches techniques, récits de contrôle)
  • Connaissance pratique des systèmes PLC (Rockwell / Allen-Bradley de préférence).
  • Expérience dans les secteurs pétrolier et gazier, midstream ou industriel lourd.

Job Description

We are seeking an Intermediate Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer to support a growing portfolio of industrial projects across Western Canada. This role focuses on delivering I&C engineering design and supporting commissioning activities, with an emphasis on oil & gas and heavy industrial facilities. The engineer will work across multiple projects, contributing to PLC panel design, instrumentation specification, and control system development.

Responsibilities
  • Develop key deliverables such as I/O lists, datasheets, control narratives, and panel layouts.
  • Support PLC programming and system testing.
  • Manage work independently in a primarily remote environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers while executing assigned tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Contribute to both design and field-related activities such as commissioning and troubleshooting.
Essential Skills
  • 5 to 8 years of I&C / controls engineering experience (ideally 7–8 years).
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or near-registration with ability to obtain.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Instrumentation specification (meters, transmitters, valves, etc.)
    • PLC panel design and I&C deliverables (I/O lists, datasheets, control narratives)
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems (preferably Rockwell/Allen-Bradley).
  • Experience in oil & gas, midstream, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

  • Hands-on PLC programming or configuration experience.
  • Exposure to commissioning, startup, and field troubleshooting.
