What is a remote business?

Remote business jobs are roles within the business sector that can be performed from any location outside of a traditional office, typically using internet-based tools and communication platforms. These jobs include positions in management, administration, marketing, sales, consulting, finance, and project coordination, among others. Working remotely in a business role allows professionals to collaborate with teams and clients worldwide while offering flexibility and the possibility of a better work-life balance.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive in remote business roles?

To thrive as a Remote Business Analyst, you need strong analytical abilities, business process knowledge, and a relevant degree in business, finance, or information systems. Familiarity with data analysis tools (like Excel, Tableau), project management software, and sometimes certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA are commonly required. Excellent communication, self-motivation, and time management skills help you collaborate effectively and maintain productivity in a remote environment. These skills ensure accurate insights, successful project outcomes, and efficient teamwork without in-person supervision.

Professionals in remote business roles often face challenges such as communication barriers, feelings of isolation, and difficulties in time management. To address these, it's important to establish clear communication channels, proactively schedule regular check-ins with colleagues, and set structured daily routines. Utilizing collaboration tools and participating in virtual team-building activities can help bridge the gap and foster a sense of connection. Being proactive in seeking feedback and clarifying expectations with managers also helps ensure alignment and productivity in a remote setting.

Director, People Business Partner

Restaurant365

Denver, CO • On-site, Remote

$160K - $195K/yr

Full-time

Job description

Restaurant365 is a SaaS company disrupting the restaurant industry! Our cloud-based platform provides a unique, centralized solution for accounting and back-office operations for restaurants. Restaurant365’s culture is focused on empowering team members to produce top-notch results while elevating their skills. We’re constantly evolving and improving to make sure we are and always will be “Best in Class” ... and we want that for you too!

About the Role

Restaurant365 is looking for a Director, People Business Partnership to shape and lead how our People team partners with the business. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thinks strategically, operates with urgency, and knows how to build a PBP function that scales.

You'll serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, lead and develop a team of People Business Partners, and drive the processes, playbooks, and operating model that make great partnership possible. Equally important — you'll champion the way AI and modern tools are changing what great HR looks like, modeling and embedding AI-forward ways of working across the team.

Why R365

This is a rare opportunity to build something — not just run it. You'll have the scope, the leadership support, and the mandate to modernize how People partnering works at a company that's scaling fast and doing it thoughtfully. If you're energized by building, leading, and staying ahead of what's next in HR, this role is for you.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing PBP team — setting clear expectations, building capability, and creating a culture where great partnership is the standard

  • Serve as a strategic People advisor to executives and senior leaders, translating business priorities into workforce, talent, org design, and leadership strategies that actually move the needle

  • Own and drive workforce planning, org design, talent management, succession, and performance processes across multiple functions and growth stages

  • Build, refine, and operationalize the PBP model — including playbooks, tools, templates, and operating rhythms that improve consistency and scale across the team

  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex and sensitive employee relations matters, balancing business needs, employee experience, and risk with sound judgment

  • Partner closely with FP&A, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and People Ops to ensure People strategies are connected, coordinated, and driving real outcomes

  • Champion the adoption of AI, automation, and people analytics tools — identifying opportunities to simplify workflows, deepen insights, and free the team up for higher-value strategic work

  • Lead the people side of change — restructures, leadership transitions, and org changes — with clear communication and steady change management

What you bring
  • 12+ years of progressive HR/People experience, with deep HRBP experience supporting senior leaders in high-growth, matrixed organizations; SaaS or pre-IPO experience strongly preferred

  • 5+ years leading, managing, and developing People Business Partner teams with a track record of raising the bar on quality and impact

  • Proven ability to build and scale HRBP/PBP operating models, processes, and playbooks that improve consistency, effectiveness, and business partnership

  • Strong executive presence and the credibility to give senior leaders honest, direct counsel they trust — including on sensitive talent, org, and leadership matters

  • Solid employee relations experience and the judgment to navigate complex, sensitive situations with care, fairness, and appropriate risk management

  • Genuine enthusiasm for how AI is reshaping the People function — and demonstrated experience using AI, automation, and digital tools to improve HR workflows and quality of work

R365 Team Member Benefits & Compensation
  • This position has a salary of $160,000-195,000. The above rate represents the expected salary for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location. Restaurant365 focuses on equitable pay for our team and aims for transparency with our pay practices.
  • Comprehensive medical benefits, 100% paid for employee
  • 401k + matching
  • Equity Option Grant
  • Unlimited PTO + Company holidays
  • Wellness initiatives
Internal Employees - R365 is committed to growing talent from within.  If you see a role that excites you and you meet the qualifications, we encourage you to apply -regardless of your current location or work arrangement.  Reach out to your People Business Partner if you have questions.
