The Role:

Join Upstream Rehabilitation and help drive meaningful impact for both associates and patients.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll lead cross-functional initiatives across the Software Development Life Cycle, partnering with business and IT stakeholders to define requirements, align priorities, and deliver solutions that create measurable value. You'll play a key role in driving clarity, managing change, and supporting successful implementation.

In this role, you'll also help strengthen best practices and foster collaboration across teams, all while supporting Upstream's mission, vision, and values.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead end-to-end requirements for complex, cross-functional initiatives from discovery and scope definition to delivery.
  • Partner with business, product, engineering, QA and project leaders to align on approach, milestones, risks and success metrics.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops to analyze current processes, identify gaps and design improved future-state workflows.
  • Create and manage clear, actionable deliverables (user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mapping, business rules).
  • Own requirements across the SDLC, ensuring traceability and effectively managing evolving scope and priorities.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate solutions and ensure alignment with business goals and compliance needs.
  • Support QA and UAT to validate outcomes, resolve defects, and ensure high-quality releases.
  • Communicate status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders and leadership with clarity and consistency.
  • Drive implementation readiness, documentation, and adoption while mentoring others and elevating BA best practices.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering complex initiatives as a Business Analyst/Sr. Business Analyst across the SDLC (Agile and/or Waterfall).
  • Proven ability to lead discovery, define requirements, and produce clear, actionable deliverables (user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria).
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with business, product, engineering, and QA to manage scope, ensure traceability, and drive delivery.
  • Strong understanding of systems, integrations, and data flows, with the ability to connect technical solutions to business outcomes.
  • Confident communicator and facilitator who can align stakeholders and translate between business and technical teams.
  • Analytical, organized, and self-directed; able to manage competing priorities and deliver results.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience leading large, cross-functional software initiatives end-to-end, including integrations and multi-system impacts.
  • Strong background in process improvement, including current/future state analysis, process mapping, and gap analysis.
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering and QA to support sprint/release planning, UAT, and defect resolution.
  • Healthcare experience, including knowledge of revenue cycle, billing standards, payer rules, or clinic workflows.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and reporting/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) to support data-driven decisions.
  • CBAP (IIBA), PMI-PBA, CSPO, SAFe POPM, or similar certification.

Benefits Offerings

  • 100% employer paid medical health insurance premium option available
  • Dental and Vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
