Role: SAP Business Analyst (S/4Hana Implementation)
Location: Remote / NY (Candidates must be from EST)

Description:
  • Client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Functional Business Analyst to join our enterprise-wide SAP S/4HANA transformation initiative.
  • This role requires a strong foundation in finance operations (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable), SAP FICO, and related business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a functional SME for finance business processes, particularly in AP/AR, GL, Asset Accounting, and Cost/Profit Center Accounting.
  • Lead workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs with Finance, Accounting, and other key stakeholders.
  • Analyze and document current-state business processes and identify opportunities for optimization and standardization in the SAP S/4HANA ecosystem.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications and user stories aligned with SAP FICO and SAC.
  • Drive the transition from BPC ECC to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring business continuity and improvement in finance and reporting functions.
  • Support the design and integration of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for enhanced data visualization, financial planning, and analytics.
  • Facilitate functional testing (integration and UAT), validate end-to-end processes, and ensure business needs are met.
  • Provide post-go-live support, including training and knowledge transfer to end-users.
  • Ensure that SAP S/4HANA solutions are aligned with the company’s finance strategy and long-term operational goals.
 

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Business Analysis experience with a focus on finance business functions.
  • Strong domain expertise in core finance operations (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Controlling, Fixed Assets, etc.).
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP Finance modules (FICO) and exposure to SAP S/4HANA implementations or migrations.
  • Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is a plus.
  • Proven experience documenting business requirements, writing BRDs, creating process flows, and managing functional testing efforts.
  • Skilled in conducting stakeholder interviews and facilitating alignment between business and IT.
  • Experience in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex finance processes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
