Forward Deployed AI Engineer - Claude 2026 - US

Aimpoint Digital

Atlanta, GA • On-site, Remote

Full-time

Re-posted 3 days ago

Job description

Aimpoint Digital is a market-leading data, AI, analytics, and operations research advisory and solution engineering firm. We help organizations design, build, and operationalize enterprise-grade data and AI platforms, decision intelligence solutions, optimization systems, and production AI applications.
We are not a commodity consulting firm. We are a technical partner to organizations that need to move beyond experimentation and deploy AI into real business workflows with the architecture, governance, reliability, and engineering discipline required for production.
As enterprises accelerate adoption of Claude and agentic AI systems, we are building a specialized team of Forward Deployed AI Engineers who can help clients move from strategy and experimentation into production-scale impact.
About the Role
As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer - Claude, you will work directly with enterprise clients to identify, design, build, and deploy high-impact AI solutions using Claude and the broader enterprise AI ecosystem.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, strategy, product thinking, and client delivery. You will be expected to operate close to the customer, understand business workflows, decompose complex processes, design AI-native architectures, and build solutions that are governed, secure, and measurable.
You will not be providing high-level advisory - You will help architect, prototype, build, evaluate, and operationalize AI systems that change how enterprises operate.
This is a senior level role within the organization at the L5 level.
What You Will Do
  • Work directly with business and technical stakeholders to identify high-value AI use cases and translate business problems into executable technical solutions.
  • Design and build enterprise-grade Claude enabled applications, agentic workflows, workflow copilots, knowledge assistants, and decision-support systems.
  • Help enterprise clients rationalize Claude licensing types, evaluate usage models, and design an overall licensing strategy aligned to adoption, governance, cost management, and business value.
  • Lead discovery sessions that map business processes, identify automation opportunities, assess human-in-the-loop requirements, and define measurable business outcomes.
  • Develop AI solution architectures that integrate Claude with enterprise systems, data platforms, APIs, vector databases, orchestration layers, and approval workflows.
  • Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation systems, tool-using agents, evaluation harnesses, prompt and context strategies, memory patterns, and guardrail frameworks.
  • Build prototypes quickly, then harden successful solutions into production-ready systems with proper observability, reliability, security, access control, and governance.
  • Partner with client executives, product owners, technical teams, legal, compliance, and security stakeholders to align AI solutions with enterprise risk requirements.
  • Develop reusable solution patterns, accelerators, technical demos, reference architectures, and thought leadership that strengthen Aimpoint Digital's Anthropic practice.
  • Help clients define their AI operating model, including governance, model evaluation, adoption workflows, business ownership, and ongoing performance measurement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and hands-on builder for organizations adopting Claude across mission-critical workflows.

What We Are Looking For
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building production applications, APIs, data pipelines, AI applications, or enterprise software systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Claude, including prompt engineering, tool use, RAG, agents, evaluation, and production deployment patterns.
  • Ability to work directly with clients, navigate ambiguity, and translate business workflows into technical architectures and implementation plans.
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI architecture patterns, including model gateways, orchestration frameworks, vector search, access control, observability, evaluation, and governance.
  • Experience with Python and modern application development practices. Exposure to TypeScript, React, FastAPI, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks is a plus.
  • Understanding of cloud and data platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar environments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both executives and deeply technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving environments where the answer is not always defined upfront.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience deploying AI solutions in regulated, complex, or enterprise-scale environments.
  • Experience with Anthropic Claude, Amazon Bedrock, model routing/gateway architectures, AI safety, evaluation frameworks, and enterprise governance patterns.
  • Background in consulting, product engineering, solution architecture, forward deployed engineering, field engineering, or technical pre-sales.
  • Experience designing human-in-the-loop workflows, approval chains, agent supervision patterns, or enterprise automation systems.
  • Strong understanding of AI risk, reliability, security, compliance, and adoption challenges.
  • Ability to create client-facing artifacts such as technical architecture diagrams, implementation roadmaps, solution demos, executive narratives, and reusable delivery assets.

We are actively seeking candidates for full-time, remote work within the US. Atlanta-based applicants will have the opportunity to work in our headquarters in Sandy Springs, GA.
