How you'll make an impact:

Work both in the studio and behind the scenes on a variety of Sports, Talk, Music and Entertainment programs and initiatives across the SiriusXM platform. Responsible for the operation and quality of all studio equipment used to support live and pre-recorded programs. Incumbents of this position show strong technical and communication skills, thoroughly understanding all software, hardware and workflows, with an ability to correctly explain solutions to constituents and write up escalations as concisely. Working closely with Broadcast Ops to ensure both studio and remote events go flawlessly. Engaging with external engineers and venues on preparation and testing. Providing ongoing oversight and support throughout live events and during troubleshooting needs.

This role coordinates day-to-day operational execution and escalations within established broadcast standards, workflows, and support paths (it does not own enterprise-wide platform strategy or cross-department technical roadmaps).

What you'll do:

  • Support all Sports, Talk, Music and Entertainment Programming, both Live and pre-recorded, from planning to completion with real-time assistance and guidance.
  • Subject Matter Expert on Remote Studio Producers equipment and workflows (including standard setup, testing, and common issue resolution).
  • Provide comprehensive training for Remote and In Studio Producers.
  • Continually monitor to ensure that on-air product is up to broadcast standards both before it leaves the studios and implement corrective steps to improve for future broadcasts.
  • Work with producers and talent to correct a range of issues and teach best practices.
  • Vet new broadcast equipment and workflows before being put into production and create documentation to distribute to end-users and other SMEs.
  • Coordinate with external locations to pave the way for successful remote broadcasts.
  • Collaborate with our Remote Operations team to ensure remote locations meet our broadcast specifications.
  • Answer our 24/7 Programming Operations Hotline and group email distribution to help a wide range of co-workers resolve issues.
  • Advocate for expeditious resolution of issues by routing incidents to the appropriate owning teams and documenting symptoms, impact, and steps taken.
  • Work with producers after any shortcomings to make sure they're better informed and prepared for subsequent broadcasts.
  • Assist with Disaster Recovery planning, testing and documentation.
  • Onboard new content, ensuring smooth and efficient setup.
  • Fulfill hosting and distribution requests from internal teams and partners.
  • Support daily operations of proprietary systems, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, ensuring accuracy and relevance of operational information.
  • Support and execute special projects as assigned, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.

What you'll need:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in podcast operations, digital media, broadcast operations, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on efficiency.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently, with a strong track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems creatively within established workflows and escalation paths.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • At least 1 year of experience running an audio console.
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work days, nights, and weekends.
  • Must be able to work in all areas of Talk, Sports, Music and Entertainment Programming, including news, politics, and pop culture.
  • Ability to work with talent and other high-profile individuals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to project professionalism virtually and in person.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite. Experience with Salesforce and Monday.com are a plus.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $55,000 to $68,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
